The South Eastern School District CIA Council is comprised of teacher and administrator members devoted to using research based best practices to develop K-12 curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments.
The CIA Council meets several times during the school year to:
- discuss and analyze district data
- set the K-12 curriculum mapping guidelines to ensure alignment to the standards
- review written curriculum
- ensure the curriculum is aligned horizontally and vertically
- investigate highly effective instructional strategies
- provide input to the district staff development offerings
- review and recommend assessment instruments
- recommend learning goals that adequately prepare students to be successful in the 21 st century
